My Gaming Landscape [May 27, 2014]

Peace. And. Love, Gamers and Players! It’s time for another Gaming Landscape from yours truly, Colorwind. It’s a day late due to Memorial Day. Hope everyone had a good one if you’re from the United States, and if not, then hope you had a good day, and week for that matter, regardless. This past week, I played a whopping fourteen games! Way too many! However, I love games so even 14 isn’t enough! Anyways, enough introducing and lets get into it.

My Gaming Landscape [May 19, 2014]

Peace and Love, gamers and players. It’s Monday, which means it’s time for My Gaming Landscape, where I talk about the video games I played the last week. I played a lot this past week so this is going to be a long one.

Okay. New day, new happenings! My blog is going to go in a new direction with less of a focus on gaming. I’m going to get started on an album review! Yes, that’s what I’ll do!

Oh. Oh wait.

Nintendo released their sales numbers?

Journal: Pokémon Sunday

20140316_143802_AndroidI don’t know why today of all days has inspired me to write a journal entry but here we are. I woke up late, almost noon. It’s been nice sleeping in lately as I had a busy week, a busy Tuesday really, I’m trying to recover from. After checking my email, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, Vine, and Feedly accounts (probably Google+ too), I watch a couple of YouTube videos. Pokémon IRL

pikachu_by_soupandbutter-d23b5w9Have you ever wanted to be the very best, like no one ever was? Was catching them your real test and training them your cause? If you were my age in the late 90s, I bet you wish it was. Whether it was the TV show, the Game Boy games, the movies, the trading cards or any of the merchandise, Pokémon had you catching them all one way or the other. However, if you wondered what these pocket monsters would have looked like if they were real, wonder no longer. However, it may not be what you were expecting.

Check out this gallery of impressive imaginings of Pokémon in real life by artist Gavin Mackey over on deviant art. Strange and horrific pieces include Mr. Mime, Metapod, Venonat, Bulbasaur, Mew and others. Seeing Pikachu is interesting considering his poster boy cuteness (is he a boy?). Massive props to Gavin and I suggest you check out the entire gallery here.
