Train: a girl a bottle a boat Mini-Review

Format: Studio Album, Long Play (LP)

Genre: Pop/Rock, Pop

Length: 37:09

Label: Columbia

Media Types: Digital, CD, Vinyl

Release Date: January 27th, 2017

An odd album for the notoriously tryhard band as they incorporate modern pop and EDM sounds into their adult alternative style while occasionally flirting with Doo-Wop, and Flamingo of all things. It’s definitely not a boring listen though and the effort can be respected, especially in the strongest song on the album, “What Good Is Saturday”, but the overall result is a confusing 11 songs that only really works in theory than in practice.
