My Gaming Landscape [June 23, 2014]

Peace and Love, gamers and players. It’s Monday so that means it’s once again time for another Gaming Landscape, where I talk about what I’ve been playing for the past week. Not a lot has been going on as I’ve focused on one game really so this will be a shorter post. Nevertheless, I’ve got some stuff to talk about. No more stalling! Let’s get to it!

Mario Kart 8

I’ve been playing a whole lot of Mario Kart 8, working on completing all of the cups in each speed in Grand Prix mode. I’m almost done, having done six of the eight cups in Mirror Mode. I’ve already gotten first place in all the cups in 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc. I haven’t managed to get stars in all the cups yet and I don’t know if I ever will. I might try to get at least one star since that gets you a new car part but that would be later. I should mention that after I complete the Special and Lighting cups on Mirror mode, I’ll start on the Time Trials and finally try going online. Yup, I haven’t tried online play yet. I want to finish Grand Prix mode before going online because Grand Prix mode is basically my training for online. I anticipate getting my butt kicked anyway but I’m going to try.

That was really the only game I played a lot of this week. However, there are other games that I popped in real quick.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate – I sold this game a month ago but the buyer didn’t pay. Before I relist it though, I tried it one more time. After 15 minutes, I was sure I wanted to sell it.

Titanfall – Electronic Arts made Titanfall free this past weekend so I downloaded it and gave it another try. I had previously tried the beta and wasn’t impressed. That hasn’t changed.

Dragon City – My nephew asked me to download this game on my phone so he can get a dragon on his account. I tried it out for a few minutes. It didn’t do anything for me but it’s harmless, I guess.

Angry Birds – I FINALLY GOT ALL 3 STARS IN THE FIRST EPISODE! I’m quite happy about that. There’s some feathers or something to get still though but I’ve never seen them around.

Mortal Kombat II and Super Street Fighter II – I popped in these games real quick to test my Sega Genesis because the AV switcher I have for my older systems wasn’t working properly.

Final Fantasy IV – I continued my playthrough of Final Fantasy IV and I’m digging it. I’m posting each video separately now so check out my previous blogs or to check them out.

That’s all for me this week. I want to hear from you now. What have you been playing? Let me know in the comment section below and be sure to check out my blog at for more!

You talking to me? Are you...talking to me?
