Another week of not playing too many games. I continued play Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and I’ve finally bought all of Kazuya’s items for his first outfit. Now I’m working on his second outfit. I also kept playing Little Big Planet and I kinda like it now. I still don’t think it’s a great game but I at least like it now. I still need to try to make my own level though. I’ve been preoccupied trying to 100% the levels in the first two worlds.
I played a little of The Cave, trying to get all the trophies. I forgot how boring that game is and it’s a real slog. I might stop since I’ve already beaten the game and even wrote a review for Gaming Precision. I tried to get farther in Mega Man 9 and failed. I can’t get past one level. I never was good at Mega Man games.
I started Joe Danger: The Movie and that game is…okay. There’s something about it that I don’t like as much as the first game. I think the levels are less interesting to me and the goals not as challenging. I got Disgaea 3 for the PS3 from Gamefly and that game is weird. It’s like Fire Emblem and Shining Force, which I like but the style feels superfluous, like it’s weird for the sake of just being weird. I’ll try some more of it but so far I’m not really digging it.
My nephew is staying at my house for a few days and he brought his 3DS and some games I don’t have. Namely Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and New Super Mario Bros 2. I tried those three and I liked Dark Moon, which surprised me since I didn’t like the first game. New Super Mario Bros 2 however looked so much like Super Mario 3D Land and the other New Super Mario games, I’m not interested. As for Animal Crossing, I just don’t get it. I felt my soul dying while I shook trees for cherries. Screw that game.
The big highlight was Deadpool. I started that game on Saturday and finished it Sunday and I enjoyed that game a lot! It’s funny, the mechanics are solid and the gameplay is interesting enough to hold the game. I’m going to write a review for it today but I can recommend it! This is an example of a good B list title that’s awesome for a weekend rental or just for some stupid fun!
Alright, that’s it for me this weekend. What have you been playing?
