The beginning of the new year means a fresh start to do something for yourself. Gamers will usually resolve to stop doing some bad habit they have that effects their video gaming.
I have three myself and the second one is to stop worrying about playing games “perfectly.” I have this bad habit of trying to play games perfectly sort of speak the first time I go through it. So I’ll get all the hidden items, do all the optional missions, just get 100% the first time through. The problem is I usually get bored of the game because of this and end up moving on to something else. I’m essentially making the game less fun than it could be.
I started playing games a bit looser towards the end of last year and I completed a lot of games because of that. I also found that I liked more of them and went through them faster. So essentially I need to suppress my OCD while playing games and just go through it and enjoy it. If it’s a good game, I can go back and go through it again, this time at 100%.
Right now, I’ve been playing L.A. Noire and I’ve been doing any street crime I can get. However, I haven’t been worrying about anything else in the game such as hidden cars. I did take the time to free roam around the city finding all of the landscapes.
